Some issues Senator Muth has identified in relation to seniors include environmental protection, healthcare, finances, insurance, and protection for veterans. She is working to improve water and air quality, along with improving the health and safety of workers and citizens involved with the pipeline. Senator Muth is also working to make healthcare more accessible and affordable for citizens, as the protection of health benefits and the improvement of standards for health and safety across the district are priorities. She is focusing on sick leave, tax reform, and affordable housing in the coming months. She is also working to ensure that veterans are receiving all of the assistance and benefits they need, and is hosting a Veterans’ Expo on Thursday, November 21st from 10 am to 2 pm at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center in Oaks.

Senator Muth has cosponsored a number of bills to achieve these goals. This includes legislation regarding the pipeline and its impact on residents’ health, water, air, and soil. She cosponsored SB277, a bill that aims to provide medical assistance for home care, home health, and senior living centers. The senator also cosponsored SB51, which would protect essential health benefits for health insurance policies sold in Pennsylvania. The benefits of the bill would cover emergency services, hospitalization, prescription drugs, vision care, and more. Senator Muth cosponsored SB31, a bill that enables seniors to receive affordable housing resources and home modifications. As for veteran protection, she cosponsored SB62, which would allow more veterans to qualify for disabled veteran license plates. These plates would allow them to park in handicapped parking spots.
