The Sanatoga Ridge Community will hold a free, open to the public, hour-long workshop on estate administration and the responsibilities of an Executor, Wednesday, April 18 at 1 p.m. The workshop will be held at the Sanatoga Ridge Community Center, 2461 E. High Street, Pottstown, PA 19464.
This workshop will focus on the process of estate administration and the responsibilities of an Executor. Someone, a family member, or a close friend, has honored you by naming you as Executor in their Will. Or maybe you are naming someone as Executor in your Will. What does an Executor need to know before stepping into this important role? This workshop will answer the following questions and more about estate administration and the role of the Executor:
- Exactly what does an Executor do?
- What is probate?
- What am I asking of my Executor and/or what is someone asking of me?
- Is it preferable to name a single person or co-Executors?
- What type of liability does the Executor take on?
- Should the Executor consult a lawyer?
- What is the difference between an Executor and an Agent?
Estate Attorney Kathleen Martin, Esq. with O’Donnell, Weiss & Matei, an expert in estate administration, will conduct the workshop.
Registration is required by Monday, April 16. Please call 610-326-6282 or register at: www.SanatogaRidge.com/Executor.
